How To Start Running

Hello Girls who run NZ if you are just starting your running journey then this Blog is designed for YOU. The information provided comes from my experience over the last…

Choosing a PT or Run coach is never easy, but I suggest you look for one like Maree. She has walked in your shoes, she knows how hard it is to fit exercise in as a working Mum, she challenges and motivates ,holds you accountable she adapts (an unexpected injury), She manages 2 fitness levels at couples PT without holding either back, manages very motivational events and above all for two non runners two years ago has both of us enjoying Running (even up hills but don't tell her that). Some words for Maree: Inspirational, real, honest, a drving force. Would highly recommend X

I have been training with Maree for about 2 years.
Weight loss and training for walking stars 2016 - a 21k walk at night for cancer - were my goals.
Last year Maree started me running and pleased to say even though I have been doing 5ks for a while now I’m almost running it the whole way.
Without Maree’s guidance, nutritional advice and motivation I would have long given up on the weight-loss journey.
Being a mum of 2 and working full time with not much time to myself Maree is perfect for me. She works around me and is flexible and often gives me a great workout in the comfort of my home while my kids are in bed.

When Maree suggested we train together for the Kerikeri half marathon I was nervous (after all, she runs marathons and I was finding 5km difficult!!) but I needed something or someone to get me out there and so we began. It was the best thing I could have done! She not only got me out there – she inspired me with her will and determination; she never made me feel bad when it all felt too hard, instead quietly encouraging me; and she challenged me to push it a little further or a little harder each time. She is real, and human, and makes it all feel possible. And she was right it was possible! I am looking forward to sharing the next challenge with you Maree.

Maree trained me for my first half marathon. She was patient, inspiring and so incredibly encouraging. I could'nt have done it without her x

Maree created a 32 week training plan for me and helped me to stick to it and push myself harder than I thought I could go. Because of Maree's help I finished my first Half Marathon!
